I was chatting with a dentist friend and encouraging him to drop gospels in his waiting room. He wondered if his partner would accept that, and I invited him to try ! Indeed, if we do not try, we will never do anything. Personally, I do not like waiting rooms. I hate that. I had to go to the doctor for immigration six years ago, and I was watching the posters in the waiting room : people arrive sick, and they leave not only sick, but anxious ! This world is a world of darkness and fear. People have a little pimple, and imagine they have cancer. That's what society is creating right now. By the grace of God, I have not been to the doctor since my adolescence, except for a few vaccines to travel for the ministry in some countries.
These waiting rooms are a wonderful place to share the gospel. You can see the fear, the pain or the sadness on the faces. Sometimes anger and intemperance. It can be the waiting room of any doctor, a car garage, a notary, etc. Whatever it is, this waiting room becomes my kingdom when I enter it. I can leave my mark on it. I have to leave my mark. It's in my power. I remember a few years ago, at my dentist friend's house, I was talking to someone in this waiting room. She told me about her back pain, and I wanted to pray, but I did not yet know my dentist friend well and I was embarrassed that he saw me there praying for someone in his office without him asked permission. He was a Christian though ! Excuse me the expression, but what a fool I was! I was stupid. The person left with his back pain, while I was convinced that God was going to heal her.
I would like to encourage you to leave the imprint of the Kingdom of God when you enter a waiting room. I sometimes took advantage of these moments to share my faith. You can do it. It's in your power. Speak, and/or leave a gospel or flyer on the table.
