In Christ

If we knew Christ in a purely human way, now we no longer know him that way. If anybody's in Christ, he's a new creation. The old things have passed away ; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5: 16-17

Imagine : you are at the market in front of a stall of various fruits ! You could grab one in your hand, photograph it, draw it, paint it or describe it meticulously in your diary... But if you only considered its volume, weight, shape and color, never tasting it. and know how tasty and nutritious it is, would you honestly think you know this fruit ?

We can think of Jesus, write about him, reason about him as a good idea without ever knowing him personally as Savior and Lord. Having only the characteristics of an object in front of you is different from holding the object itself ! Likewise, adhering to Christianity as a concept that bears the name of Christ is different from being in Christ...

Without giving yourself entirely to him, your knowledge is but a formula, a sound, an empty shell. To know Jesus in this way is not to know him at all ! The essence of Christianity is Christ himself who dwells in the heart of the man who believes ! Surrender to him and you will experience a new relationship of peace and love with God. In Christ...
