In the light

Jesus tells us to work as long as it is day. Why ? Because "the night comes, when no one can work" (John 9: 4).

In Revelation 7, John describes a multitude standing before the throne of God, a crowd so important that no one can count it.

"After this I looked, and behold, there was a great multitude, which no one could count, of every nation, and tribe, and people, and tongue. They stood before the throne and before the lamb, clothed in white robes, and palms in their hands. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation is unto our God which sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb" (Revelation 7: 9-10).

This crowd is representative of peoples of all tongues and nations, clothed in white robes and praising the Lord. "They are the ones who come from the great tribulation" (Revelation 7:14).

Dear Saint, I believe that we are the generation of which is spoken in this chapter 7 of the Apocalypse. We live in the darkest hours, and there are great tribulations all around us. But the bright light still shines. In fact, the darker the night, the more His light is great !

While you are suffering in prayer for those you love and for a world covered by darkness, I want to remind you of your own history. Remember how, in your moments of tribulation, when you did not know the Lord, someone gained souls. Someone prayed for the lost to come to the light. Someone was rising above the darkness to proclaim Christ. Someone believed that Jesus would make the new wine appear. And that's what happened! You came to the light! God will rise above the darkness and draw to light those for whom you pray.
