Inexcusable and rebellious to God

"The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who unjustly hold captive truth, for what can be known of God is manifest to them, God has made them known. In fact, the invisible perfections of God, his eternal power and his divinity, are seen as in the eye, since the creation of the world, when they are considered in his works. They are therefore inexcusable, since having known God, they did not glorify Him as God, and did not give thanks to Him ; but they went astray in their thoughts, and their foolish heart was plunged into darkness. Boasting of being wise, they went mad ; and they changed the glory of the incorruptible God into images of corruptible man, birds, quadrupeds, and reptiles" (Romans 1: 18-23).

This passage applies so well to many of our contemporaries. The more science and technology advances, the more the man thinks he is god. The great scientists boast of their wisdom, and their pride has driven them to madness : the rejection of God, their Creator.

Hundreds of millions of people hide behind the wisdom of scientists, imagining that man comes down from the monkey or a bacterium, and the earth from some kind of explosion. They create theories and support all their studies and their faith in them. Why ? Because they are rebellious to God from the bottom of their heart. They do not like God. If they loved him, they would call on him, begging him to be saved. That's why God is angry with unbelievers. Every unbeliever is, according to God, inexcusable. At the same time, God loves them with exceptional love, and at the same time God is angry at their actions. We must not forget this truth. This rebellion against God has driven them to all kinds of sin and unnatural acts. They will be judged because of that. When my wife had just been saved, she had trouble understanding that even the sweetest sinner was inexcusable and rebellious to God. Yet this "gentler" will go to hell because of his rebellion against God.
