Intimidation : many fears and gods

Goliath was a soldier full of fear, insecurity, and fragility. When David appeared before him, he cursed him by his gods. Goliath needed to have a lot of gods because he was very scared. He had many inner giants, taller than him, and indomitable. He wanted to shout louder than his fears, but his attitude betrayed his inner struggles. He shouted to David what he was going to do with him. He shouted that he was going to cut off his head and make him eat by the birds of the sky and the beasts of the fields.

I remind you that Goliath looked to the earth, and even as he looked to the sky, he could not see beyond the clouds. He did not perceive the one who is invisible. I imagine you've already killed a fly, a ladybug, or at least one mosquito. I have already killed these insects. I loved ladybugs when I lived in France because they were rare, but once in Quebec, I did not like their presence in my house, because they came by dozens ! I gave them a blow with my finger and made them fly. I have never shouted at a ladybug, and I imagine you do not. You did not have to curse a fly or call Jesus in front of an insect in your room. You just turned on the light, you took a slipper or a handkerchief, and then you crushed it.

Goliath was scared and, after intimidating Israel for so many days, he used his biggest weapon again : intimidation. He tried to make David imagine what he would become. He tried to get David to imagine and accept his verdict, his sentence, his curse, he wanted David to perceive his head cut off, and the birds of the sky eating his dead flesh. David had already seen this, and all the people too. They had seen crows and scavengers eating dead beasts and enemy soldiers, and that had marked them. Many children had seen dead rot on the surface of the soil, even if that was not to be done. But Goliath's attempt did not succeed on David.
