It gives and it resumes !

"The LORD has given, and the LORD has taken away ; May the name of the LORD be blessed !" Job 1:21

Have you ever been challenged by the attitude of certain people who, in the face of trials, have succeeded in astonishing you by their total submission to God? Their words are enough to show you the way they chose to follow bringing comfort and encouragement to those affected by what they are living.

Job was a model in himself; he, stripped of all his possessions, had chosen to bless the Lord without reproaching him. "In all this Job did not sin, nor did he attribute anything unjust to God." Job 1:22

Each one of us receives a special attention from God ; this faithful God who cares for his children and who fills them in many ways every day.

You must understand that God does not take pleasure, there is a meaning to everything he does.

However, it is necessary to consider him as the owner of all these things. There is nothing that belongs to us ! And when he decides to take back what he has entrusted to us, we should in no case be resentful to him: he gave, he took again that his name is blessed! Is that your attitude ?

Personally, one day, I thought that God would take back someone I loved and I did not understand why. So I raised my voice and said : "What have I done to live this ?"

Fortunately, this same God came to my aid and quickly made me understand that by trusting him, I will not be disappointed in any way. "My soul, bless the Lord, and forget none of his benefits." Psalm 103: 2

There may be an important support in your life that God has deprived you of, so you feel literally stripped! Like a person who has just amputated the leg, you think that you will never be able to walk in the normal way.

You must understand that God does not take pleasure, there is a meaning to everything he does. So, make the choice to adopt the right attitude by trusting it. He is the Master of your life and just as he did for Job, he will show you the fullness of his goodness.

"The LORD restored Job in his first state, when Job had prayed for his friends ; and the LORD gave him double of all that he had possessed." Job 42: 10

A prayer for today

Father, may your will be done in my life, I belong to you and I accept it! In the name of Jesus. Amen.
