It is the strongest support

In a church in Guadeloupe, I witnessed something extraordinary as the worship group began a song we know well : There is no one like Jesus. A grandma, who until then had been sitting in her chair, made a special effort to stand up. Once standing, she came out of the ranks and began to dance, raising her cane and shouting loudly : "There is no one like Jesus !" What gratitude to Him whom she considered her most solid support !

Do you know that a man with a shattered hip is bound to limp his entire life ? Jacob, after being struck by God in the hip, was going to have to learn to walk another way and to rely totally on the Lord. He would then receive a new name : "Israel" (Genesis 35.10), which means "He will be the prince of God".

Four times around the earth ! This is what a man will normally have gone through at the end of his life. To do so many kilometers, it is better to have solid support. Which one is yours ? "From my mother's womb, I lean on you ; it is you who brought me out of the mother's womb ; you are the object of my praise without ceasing" (Psalm 71.6).

Whether your current walk is difficult or easy, God remains and remains your most solid support, the one on whom you can count. Never forget it !

Listen the voice of God

Let’s take the time to listen to what God means. Have you made God your strongest support ?

Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer : "Lord, I do not want to continue to limp, leaning on my human capacities. Become my strongest support, to face this life."

Praise God

To praise God is to show him our gratitude. What are your subjects of recognition today ? Take a moment to thank the Lord.

Act today

Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.

Honor the Lord

Our route for the day comes to an end. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"My God, you are the rock on which I can lean in all circumstances. Thank you, thank you, thank you ! Yours be the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
