It's never too late for God
Searching the Scriptures
I saw his conduct, but I will heal him. Isaiah 57:18
Are you afraid that God is too late to help you ? It's never too late for God !
There are examples in the Bible of broken people that God has dramatically restored. He used Moses, a murderer, to deliver the Hebrew slaves. He used Jacob, a liar and a cheater, to keep his promise to Abraham. He even included Rahab, a prostitute, in the genealogy of the Messiah. And if God redeemed them, He can redeem you too.
A loophole should never keep you hand and foot tied. On the contrary, it should set you free and carry you forward.
A truly broken person understands the true meaning of the verse where Jesus says : "Without me you can do nothing" (John 15.5). A broken person who has learned to depend on God is a real strength. Looking at the failures of the past prevents us from seeing the successes to come.
It is difficult to move your car forward if you are just looking in the rearview mirror. A quick glance is enough, but if you insist, you risk an accident. That's why the windshield is so much bigger than the rearview mirror ! One shows you the future, the other the past.
If you turn to God, He will forgive you, restore you, and use you for His purposes. He says : "I have seen his conduct, but I will heal him. I will guide him and give him full comfort and those who mourn because of him. I will bring praise to their lips, I will give peace, yea peace, to him who is far and to him who is near, saith the Lord, and I will heal them" (Isaiah 57.18-19).
Sure, it's never too late for God !
Listen to the voice of God
Let's take the time to listen to what God means. For what subject (s) in your life do you fear that God is too late ?
Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer : "Lord, my situation is not hidden from your eyes. I trust you fully."
Praise God
To praise God is to show him our gratitude. Today, what are your subjects of recognition ? Take a moment to thank the Lord.
Act today
Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.
Honor the Lord
Our route for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.
"Thank you Lord, for it is never too late for you. Yours be the kingdom, the power and the glory, amen !"
