Jesus is never late

Holy patience is the will to wait for the time of God. There is indeed a time of the Holy Spirit : "A little while, a little while : the one who is to come will come, and he will not delay" (Hebrews 10:37). This verse speaks not only of the Second Coming of Christ, but also of Christ who comes to meet our needs.

It is totally impossible for God to be late. Mary and Martha had believed that Jesus was late when their brother, Lazarus, died. They said to Him : "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died" (John 11:21). In other words : "Jesus, you came too late ! You missed the deadline."

Imagine how much Jesus must have been hurt by these reproaches. But He replied, in substance : "No, I'm not late. Lazare will get up. I am here and I am the resurrection. All life is in Me."

The hearth of Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue, thought Jesus was late. This important man was told, "Your daughter is dead ; Why bother the master more ? "(Mark 5:35). Once again, the message was : "Jesus was late. It's too late ! He did not respond in time and He fell. "But as we know, Jesus took the child by the hand and raised him from the dead (5: 41-42).

Too late ? It does not exist with our Lord. You can see in these two examples that Jesus was right on time! You may be tempted to abandon the struggle and sink into despair, but our Father is so full of love for His children that nothing can prevent Him from bringing forth something from nothing.
