Jesus is the friend of your soul

"A true friend is more loyal than a brother." Proverbs 18.24

Have you noticed that the words "soul" and "friend" begin in the same way ?

One does not open one's soul, the bottom of one's heart, to anyone. A relationship of trust must first of all settle, prove itself.

You are not alone, never alone.

Jesus is the friend of your soul. Always present, never very far, he is the one who understands you. In times of difficulty, Jesus shows himself a true friend, that is to say, a friend who :

Does not leave the ship when the storm rages, for it is faithful (see 2 Thessalonians 3: 3)

Do not condemn you, because he loves you (see Romans 8: 1)

Stands by your side, for he is your support (see Psalms 54: 4)

Today, if your soul is sad or bruised, choose Jesus as a friend. He is faithful, patient and loving. Today more than ever, in everything you go through, he stands by your side. You are not alone in this ordeal, this challenge you face, this new day that is offered to you. You are not alone, never alone.

While Jesus is your friend, why should not you, in turn, become a true friend to someone who needs it ?

The world needs loyal and faithful people, people who can thus manifest the loyal, faithful and loving heart of our God.

A prayer for today

"Jesus, thank you for your loyalty, your friendship, your presence, I am convinced that you do not abandon me, you faithful friend, true friend, friend of my soul. That I may be more like you, and that others may see your love and your faithfulness through me. Thank you Jesus."
