Par Priscilla
When I called you, you answered me, you encouraged me, you strengthened me. Psalm 138: 3
At one point in life, we all feel the loneliness of grief. Mary and Martha were saddened by the death of their brother, Lazarus, and Martha said to Jesus : "If you had been there, my brother would not be dead." Their soil was a solitude of sorrow. The shortest verse of the Bible tells us that at Lazarus' tomb "Jesus cried". He enters our sorrows.
When we come to Jesus Christ, He does not promise to spare us trouble or the sorrow. Tears will come, but deep inside you, there will be a joy difficult to explain. It is a joy of God - produced by the Holy Spirit. In the midst of the trials, agony and tears that come to us all, a supernatural power is given, producing of the joy.
Prayer for the day
Your comfort in times of sorrow, your love for the Lord Jesus, envelops me, giving light and hope in my darkness.
