Keep your conscience pure
Search the Scriptures
I speak the truth in Christ, I do not lie, my conscience bears witness to me by the Holy Spirit. Romans 9.1
When the Holy Spirit speaks to your conscience, two things happen. First, his truth illuminates your heart. Then it tells you how to act. What seems right to others will seem wrong to you.
Because God has a particular plan for your life, and he does not want you to be influenced in a negative way at the risk of abandoning your plans.
Read the following verses and put them in prayer : "I strive constantly to have a blameless conscience before God and before men." (Acts 24.16)
“Timothy, my child, here is my instruction to you, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you : lean on them, fight the good fight, keeping faith and a good conscience. some have rejected it, and they have been shipwrecked from the faith." (1 Timothy 1.18-19)
“Deacons too should be respectable, of one word and not indulge in drink or lure for gain. They should guard the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience.” (1 Timothy 3.8-9)
"We are indeed convinced that we have a good conscience, since we want to behave well in all circumstances." (Hebrews 13:18)
As a Christian, if you sin willfully and do not repent, you lose your sense of peace and joy; you feel bad about yourself. So your word for the day is : keep your conscience pure.
Listen the voice of God
Let's take the time to listen to what God wants to say. If one of these verses particularly touched your heart, continue to meditate on it throughout this day in order to keep your conscience clear in all circumstances.
Praying is simple. Speak to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer : "Lord, help me to guard my heart more than anything else, for from it come the springs of life."
Praise God
To praise God is to express our gratitude to him. Today, what are your subjects of recognition ? Take a time to thank the Lord.
Act today
Now, deepen what you have received. What can you put in place to apply what God has told you ? Write down concrete actions you can take.
Honor the Lord
Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.
"Father, thank you for sending us the Holy Spirit to lead us into truth. Yours is the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
