Led by prayer

Whenever we receive a great deliverance from God, we thank him with all our heart. And then we give him this sincere promise : "Lord, from today I will not go anywhere and I will not do anything without asking Your opinion. I'm going to pray for everything." But when a new crisis comes up, we think we can build on our experience, our old plans and successes, and we end up taking things in our own hands.

We reason : "God has given me an intelligence and I am supposed to use it. He wants me to find the solution. "Well, that's right, but only after seeking direction in prayer. We can never get God's thinking based on our own reasoning. The Lord may allow our own plans to work for a while, but ultimately we find ourselves in total confusion.

The Apostle Paul tells us that carnal thinking can not understand spiritual thinking : "For those who live according to the flesh, are fond of the things of the flesh, while those who live according to the spirit are love the things of the spirit. And the affection of the flesh is death, while the affection of the spirit is life and peace ; for the affection of the flesh is enmity against God, because it does not submit to the law of God, and it can not even" (Romans 8: 5-7).

It is possible that, despite your virtuous march, devotion and worship, you are walking on your own path. If so, turn your eyes to God for His discernment and direction. Cry to Him and trust in His faithfulness. "The LORD is the keeper of you, the LORD is your shadow on your right hand" (Psalm 121: 5). Your Father desires to be the one who cares for you, who keeps you and protects you.

How wonderful it is to know that our Lord is watchful, protective, and happy to keep and preserve His children.
