Let God be God !
Come to me all who are tired and curved under a burden, and I will give you rest. Accept my requirements and let yourself be educated by me because I am gentle and humble heart, and you will find rest for your soul. Indeed, my requirements are good and my light burden. Matthieu 11.28-30
I worn out at the task ; The "yoke" on me was not light, because I was wearing what I was not supposed to wear. I wanted to control everything. In a way, I tended to take the place of God especially with my children. I was looking for to fill all their needs, answer all their prayers, show them the path they had to follow, deliver them from all bad passes...
The hazards of life forced me to "let go" and abandon me in God. One day he said to me : "It's enough, "Hands Off" ; does not touch anything anymore ! Let me do! "
We had just lived an earthquake ; Filled with anxiety, I could not close the eyes at night, seeking to "watch" on my offspring. So I proclaimed : "Your goalkeeper will not sleep... The LORD is on your side as a shadow that protects you." (Psalm 121.3-5)
"The hazards of life often force us to" let go "and give up in God."
When my Timothy son plunged into the drug, I struggled like a lioness until emotional collapse. This "giant" was too big for me. So I asked God to take the "educational relay" of our son : "Give yourself from this vine ! Come protect what you planted yourself, this offshoot you made grow for you !" (Psalm 80.15-16). He did it beautifully.
One day, my daughter Laetitia, teenager, manifested his desire to attend a missionary convention in Côte d'Ivoire, I wanted all my strength to pay this trip, seeing in it a missionary seed. But the mountain was too high for me until I understand that if I wanted to give good things to my children, God, him, wanted even more. We told our daughter to address herself to his heavenly Father. He has provided. This experience of faith has been a strong foundation for its future department.
A prayer for today
Lord, I come to you, because I'm exhausted (e) wanting to handle everything in myself. I do not want to try to take your place anymore. Thank you for your rest.
