Let's fire our drivers !

Hebrews 13.17 - Obey your leaders and have deference to them, for they watch over your souls as they should give an account ; so be it, so that they will do it with joy, and not with moaning, which would be of no benefit to you.

Today we would like to discuss a principle : authority. We see and read a lot on the net and the like, and we find that a lot of people have a misconception of authority. Indeed, there is an amalgam between authoritarianism and authority. Authoritarianism is evil and enslaving. Authority is a good thing and an important principle that we find in many areas of our life.

Let's just take the example of a couple. If authoritarianism reigns, on the side of the man, as on the side of the woman, there will be a lot of suffering and a bondage which will take away from the enslaved spouse all his personality and which will thus prevent him from flourishing. On the other hand, if the husband is filled with authority emanating from his condition as a man, authority that the Lord has given him, the woman will submit with joy and experience full development. It is the same in the Church, the body of Christ.

We hear that teachers should “fire” pastors, and all under the guise of God. While it is true that some pastors display authoritarianism and thus enslave the people of God, leaving them in no way to flourish and thus preventing them from fully entering into the plans of God, there are nevertheless shepherds filled with love. the authority of God who will teach you and allow you to grow in the things of God and to enter your own destiny !

At all times, God has chosen people to proclaim the Word, to teach, to prophesy... They could be educated people, influential, but also children, young people, men and women of humble conditions, old people. but these people were used by God to build up the body of Christ. Nobody has the science, we the first, that's why we need teachers.

We can say : “I don't need anyone, God teaches me directly”. It is true that the Spirit of God teaches us God, but He will certainly allow that we do not understand everything just to need the other given by God as apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher, even if we would have we need to be taught to redefine what these ministries really are as a first step.

If sometimes man has used God and the things of God to promote himself, it is nonetheless dangerous to reject all form of authority altogether because sooner or later we risk falling under the yoke of authoritarianism. hidden.
