Let's get out of our darkness !

Psalms 139.11 and 12 – If I say : “Let darkness swallow me up, let day turn around me into night ! for you darkness becomes light, and the night clear as day ; darkness or light, for you it is the same.

Despite great advances in technology, science and knowledge, our world is in deep darkness. Men and women wander around in search of satisfaction and pleasure. It's a bit like in the movie "Matrix" where human beings are blinded by illusion but the reality is quite different.

You may have the feeling of being engulfed by this darkness, that your night is endless. David portrays the Lord of light to us : “No darkness can stand before Him, no lie can stand for He is the Truth”. God is the great Deliverer from the power of darkness. His Word opens our eyes to reality so that we are free from all ties, hindrances or bondages. He can bring you out of the dark to make you taste his light.

The Bible says that men preferred darkness because their works were bad : we must therefore make the choice to abandon these works and get out of it by invoking the light of God on our life. For too long the night of sin has stolen the clarity and warmth of God's love. Nothing else can break this confinement ! The devil holds men captive in a dark and damp cave but he knows he can never overcome God, so he invents lies so that human beings believe that there is nothing better than this condition.

In the name of Jesus Christ, get out of this situation ! Taste the real life, that of forgiveness and freedom in the light of the Lord.

This is also the power of the resurrection !
