Let the Lord "lead the dance"...

"He makes me rest in green pastures, he directs me near a peaceful water." Psalm 23.2

A popular reality TV show features professional dancers who learn to dance to non-professionals. Dancing couples compete to see which team dances best.

The Lord wants to lead his children ...

The condition for a couple to dance well is that one partner leads and the other follows the movement. If both dancers try to lead their respective partners, they will walk on their feet.

The Lord wishes to lead His children, but too many Christians want to direct themselves. Before being saved, I went to parties and danced all night. At that time, we danced as a couple. The worst thing that could happen to a couple of dancers was to have a girlfriend who was trying to guide the dance. The two partners trying to lead the movement ended up, frustrated, by stepping on each other's feet. This explains why so many Christians are frustrated : the Lord would like to lead them but instead of trusting Him and following Him, they stumble.

An action for today

Do not do like those couples of dancers who try to lead the dance together when it's useless ! Allow the Lord to direct you. Do not resist him but trust him ! He will only direct you to the good things.
