Like of little children

"Little children, it's the last hour ; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, now also there are many antichrists ; to that we know that it is the last hour : they came out of our midst, but they were not of ours ... And you, you have the anointing on the part of the Saint and you know everything." 1 John 2. 18-20

Can I accept that the Lord speaks to me like a child from time to time ? Either to comfort me or to take me back ... Not so that I remain a child, but so that I become an adult in the faith.

God's pedagogy is to say : Return to children, and the way will open before you again; and you will grow and become truly adults!

We must become children in Christ to become adults in Christ and walk towards ever greater maturity, learning every day, that is, receiving instruction from God on every occasion.

John tells us : You are no longer blind, you are no longer ignorant. You have been instructed, and the one who teaches you first is the Lord by his Spirit, so that you no longer believe anything ; so that your judgment becomes more and more refined; so that your faith becomes stronger and stronger and you are able to help those who are shaken. So that if someone presents himself as a brother while he is not, you realize it, instead of being seduced because he speaks well ! "That they may all be manifested as not ours" (1 John 2. 19). This means that it is not a question of being sentimental, or puerile, or naive, or light, but of seeing things and understanding them in the light of God, without being seduced by appearances of truth.

Lord, I want to accept that you can call me "my child", when I need to be comforted, or if I need to be taken back. I even want to accept that a brother or sister can join me as well, if necessary. Not to remain a child, but to become an adult in the faith, full of strength and wisdom, in grace.
