Lives turned upside down
If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away ; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Almost immediately, the resurrection of the Lord upset and transformed his disciples. And what changes ! Sad and desperate, Mary Magdalene, then Peter and John were filled with joy when they met Jesus. Thomas, who was waiting for irrefutable proof, bowed down to him, declaring "My Lord and my God". (John 20.28)
I haven't seen Jesus Christ, but He has changed my life and the lives of so many around me. Joseph F. is an example. His alcohol addiction had ravaged him ; he had to be disabled. But when he heard the gospel, Joseph recognized that Jesus was his only help. And he believed in him. His connection to alcohol was permanently broken. He was going to bear witness to his former companions at the bar by drinking herbal tea or fruit juice.
Joseph was a painter. When Jesus came into her life, her paintings "changed color". Aggressive and violent tones have given way to soft and peaceful undertones. Illness developed a few years later, but even in the midst of the ordeal he remained a shining witness of Jesus Christ.
Jesus is alive. Today, he transforms the life of those who trust in him.
