Look at the invisible

"Our slight tribulation of a moment produces for us, in abundant measure, an eternal weight of glory, our eyes not being fixed on what is seen, but on what is not seen ; for what is seen is temporary, but what is not seen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:17, 18

The believer should have the feeling that God is with him in everything he does, even the most minute tasks. God constantly looks at each of his children and is interested in every detail of his life; nothing escapes him, he knows perfectly each of his own : "The very hair of your head is all counted" (Matt.10, 30) said Jesus to his disciples during his journey on earth.

Nevertheless, for the believer, his perception of the presence of God is not always constant and equal; and sometimes his experience of God at his side may be discontinuous: when his mind is open enough to include God in all his thoughts, he feels a sense of completeness and absolute security, but when his vision of life shrinks to the point that details or problems totally occupy his thoughts, he feels only empty and dissatisfaction.

So what should you do ? Is there a solution ?

Yes ! Learn to look regularly at God in all circumstances ! Even if the world is unstable and constantly in motion, even if circumstances seem unfavorable and difficulties seem to accumulate, one can experience stability through a consciousness of the uninterrupted presence of God at his side. For this, we must look away from what surrounds us and bring them to the invisible. Moses experienced this when he engaged with God to guide the people to the promised land. (And it was not easy !) "He considered the reproach of Christ a greater treasure than the riches of Egypt ; for he looked on the reward" (Heb 11. 26) ... And what a reward !

Even if the visible world stretches before our eyes, let us look at the invisible, the future reward, the future of happiness promised by God to each of his own ; then the vision of earthly difficulties will fade and the light of the sky will shine !
