Make come back the King !

"And in all the tribes of Israel all the people were in dispute, saying, The king has delivered us out of the hand of our enemies, and saved us from the hand of the Philistines. And now he had to flee from the land before Absalom. Now Absalom, whom we had anointed to reign over us, died in battle : why do ye not speak to bring back the king ? And David said to the priests Zadok and Abiathar, Speak unto the elders of Judah, and say unto them, Why are ye the last to bring back the king into his house ? - For what was said in all Israel had come to the king" (2 Samuel 19: 9-11).

King David, a type of Christ, sent a message to those who had spiritual influence and authority : "Why are you the last to bring back the king ?"

This should be the cry of our hearts today also - "Bring back the King !" The tears last for one night, but you and I have the hope that, as was the case for David, our nation will recognize What was lost and that it will make again the King! Bring back the King who heals, who delivers, who allows to see. Bring back the King who opens the doors of the prisons and places a new song in all hearts. Bring the King back into our streets, our schools and our universities !

Of course, it starts with you and me - in our personal lives. We must leave our roof to stop looking at what we should not see. Where we have failed, where we have gone away or have lost our zeal for the kingdom of God - let us bring back the King ! Where our heart for the lost and the poor has cooled - let's bring back the King ! And I assure you that when the King returns home, there will be joy, dances, and cries of victory like never before ! Hallelujah !
