It is no longer I who live, it is Christ who lives in me. Galatians 2. 20
Me or Jesus ?
Dear me*,
I think I always treated you well. I can say that most of the time, I put you on top of everything, I made sure that you could have the best piece of cake, the best chair...
Now that I have new tools thanks to the internet, I only post pictures that show you in your best light...
I love you, dear me... But I can no longer live for you.
Dear me, I left you in charge and you took the place of the Driver. But now I realize that I can't trust you. You said you knew the paths in life we had to take, but we always find ourselves in dead ends.
I learned that there is another way that leads to real and abundant life, and that way is Jesus Christ.
I'm telling you a little bluntly, I can't take you with me on this path.
So dear me, this is the end of you.
"In order to be (Jesus) first in everything" (Colossians 1.18).
* In the Bible, depending on the context, the word "me" has two meanings :
- "It is no longer I who live" : "I" represents here the will of man without God.
- "It is Christ who lives in me" : here it is a question of the personality, the being responsible before God, mentioned by the apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 12.5 : "I will not boast of myself".
