Meaningful life !

The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy ; I have come that the sheep may have life and have it abundantly. John 10.10

I grew up in what is commonly called a "city" or "neighborhood".

When I was a teenager, I started doing a few little things that quickly got bigger, and more objectionable.

I had gotten to such a point that it was time to get out of it, otherwise I could have ended up really badly. Around the age of 18, I had a terrible anxiety attack, almost depression. I realized that I couldn't go on like this, living in fear and illegality. I wondered what the purpose of my life was.

So I remembered that when I went to church I was told about a God who forgives and protects. A God who gives meaning to life.

I can't say exactly how it happened anymore, but I have started to read the Bible. One passage touched and comforted me deeply. He said : I sought the Lord, and he answered me, he delivered me from all my fears. When we look at him, we are beaming with joy. (Psalm 34.5-6)

At that moment, I recognized that I was far from God, that my way of life did not please him at all. Yes, it was there that I asked him to take control of my life and fully understood and accepted the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for me.
