Men in the ministry !

1 Timothy 5.8 – If someone does not take care of his own, and especially of his family, he has denied the faith, and he is worse than an infidel.

As I said yesterday, if the enemy cannot slow us down, he pushes us. It is therefore important for man to stay in balance. Just as for women, the ministry has become for some men the priority of their life and this, to the detriment of many things.

The first thing is that man is so busy doing ministry that he forgets the priority : God Himself ! How many do and still do and no longer spend time with God ?

Then, many Christian men feel a call to ministry in their hearts, but instead of letting God speak to them clearly and show them the time when this call will become effective, he throws away any job without having received what I will call the stamp of God, thus putting their family in sometimes very important problems but above all in insecurity.

You may retort that our security comes from the Lord. It is true, but he mandates the man in priority so that he secures his family. Let us not forget that even if we are in a secular job, we are "full time" for the Lord, if we have consecrated ourselves. Moreover, any resignation from employment to serve full-time in “ministry” should be received not only from the husband but also from the wife. We cannot move a boat if each is rowing in the opposite direction of the other.

Then, it is important to know how to say no to certain solicitations, invitations... There are solicitations that come from God, others are only there to scatter man in a thousand activities and divert him from the planned objective. and chosen by God.

Just as important : knowing how to set aside time for your wife and children ! There too, it is a balance that must be found and this will be granted to them by God if they let Him really manage their schedule.

The man must be a solid person, not a weather vane shaken by the wind and especially for the “ministry”. If you feel that the enemy has pushed you, come back to the feet of Jesus ! Stop, take stock of the real priorities of your life. Accept to lay at the feet of Jesus the reason for your agitation and ask God to become a man made in the stature of Christ : a man of his word, a man on whom we can count and lean.
