"I praise thee, for I am a marvelous creature : thy works are wonders." Psalms 139.14
How should you accept your physical appearance ?
1. With gratitude.
In the eyes of God, your appearance does not define your worth.
Thank God for having made you a unique creature. You are not the result of a random genetic combination. You are an exceptional person, conceived by God for a unique mission. This is what makes you what you are !
"You have formed my loins, which hid me in my mother's womb" (Psalm 139: 13). "I praise thee, for I am a wonderful creature: thy works are wonders."
You are not the result of an assembly line like these standard products manufactured in series. The Psalmist said : "My body was not hidden before you when I was made in secret" (Psalm 139: 15).
We can not care less about us ! That is why you can thank God for having created you, carefully examined and accepted into heaven before you were born.
2. With the desire to understand God.
Discover God's plan for your life. You were not meant to impress others or to seek their approval. In the eyes of God, your appearance does not define your worth. "Man looks at what strikes the eyes, but the Lord looks at the heart" (1 Samuel 16: 7).
Begin to see yourself as God sees you. Ultimately, his opinion is the only one that counts. Moreover, "Those whom he knew beforehand, he also predestined them to be like the image of his Son" (Romans 8:29).
Action for Today
Rejoice ! God has not finished with you until he has made you like his Son, Jesus.
