More pure than gold !

This is what makes you happy, even if now, since it is necessary, you are for a little while saddened by various trials. So the proven value of your faith—much more precious than gold, which is perishable and yet subject to the test of fire—will result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ will appear. 1 Peter 1.6-7

I don't know if this is your case, but it was through the worst suffering that I gained the greatest benefits. I remember, as a young Christian, having lived through a painful relationship. The pain was at its peak, but I found myself screaming : "This is a glorifying experience !" In fact, I have never grown more with God than after this ordeal.

To work gold, the foundry uses products and techniques to remove impurities. Of course, as the verse tells us, the process can only be done in "the trial of fire" (1 Peter 1.7) !

Do you know how one can verify that gold is pure ? It is when we see our image perfectly reflected on him. Likewise, your faith is pure when people can see the image of Jesus in you.

What is most important to God is not our comfort here, it is "the proven value of your faith". The trials He allows in our lives purify our faith and transform us into the image of the Lord. So take courage, let's not waste our trials and let ourselves be shaped by the divine Potter by asking him : "Father, what are you trying to teach me today ?"

Listen the voice of God

When we are at the heart of the test, God is very present, and he is the one who reassures us. Take the time to listen to what he wants to say to you especially today.

Praying is simple. Just talk to God. Here is an example of a prayer : "Lord, help me see what I can learn from this situation, which I am thinking about, because I have trouble keeping my thoughts clear. Touch my eyes, give me your gaze on the circumstances of this situation. Give me the perseverance I need."

Praise God

It's easy to praise God when things are going well, but when things are going badly... that's another story. However, praising him allows us to keep the focus on the one who can really help us and get us out of all our distress. Why not lift up his name today and worship him no matter what you're going through ?

Act today

Now, deepen what you have received. What can you put in place to keep your eyes on Christ ? Write down the ideas that come to you and see which ones you can already experience today. If nothing comes to you, don't put more pressure on yourself, just decide to remain silent before the Lord and let him love you and give you his peace.

Honor the Lord

Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"Lord, I thank you because today I understand that when I go through trial, you purify me and make me stronger! Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory, amen !"
