Much more than birds !
If you meet a bird's nest on the way, on the tree or on the ground, with young or eggs and the mother lying on the young or on the eggs, you will not take the mother and the young. Deuteronomy 22.6
I had decided to cut down the tree on the edge of our property. Too close to the neighbor, its branches threw themselves over the fence separating our two plots. Armed with an ax, I began to cut branch after branch to clear the trunk. Suddenly, although I hadn't noticed it until then, I noticed a bird's nest sheltered in the heart of the antlers. I climbed to its level to find it was inhabited. I immediately remembered that the Bible somewhere spoke of bird nests. After searching, I found the verse quoted above. Although bare, my tree is still standing. Convinced by the Word of God, my conscience forbids me to make the inhabitants of my tree homeless.
As he taught his disciples about God's concern for those who belong to him, Jesus will use the birds as an example. Look at the birds of the air : they neither sow nor reap, they do not gather anything in the barns, and your Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than them ? (Matthew 6.26) If God does so much for birds, isn't the smartest thing for us creatures made in his image to rely on him for all our needs ?
