My testimony is nothing spectacular

We have certainly all read or heard stories of spectacular conversion. God revealed Himself to this one by a vision, while the heart of another was touched by a healing... The Bible also tells us of radical conversions, like that of the apostle Paul, that the Lord stop with a great light that makes him fall to the ground (Acts 9:4).

But Paul worked for the Lord with a certain Timothy, whose story is quite different... He was brought up by a believing mother and grandmother who spoke to him about the Lord and showed their faith on a daily basis. He speaks of the sincere faith "which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice" (2 Timothy 1.5).

Perhaps you too were brought up in a Christian family. Your childhood faith became personal faith, and you chose as you grew to follow Christ. You were like any lost man, and you too needed Jesus. So you also have a testimony to tell. You may not be able to give the date of your conversion, or witness a radical change. But you can talk about a life with Jesus Christ, how he delivered you on many occasions, because he took care of you every day. You too had and you have in your heart bad tendencies from which God delivers you day after day.

All conversion is a miracle from God. Glorify him by your testimony, like Samuel who affirmed : "Hitherto the Lord has helped us" (1 Samuel 7. 12).
