No one told me that Jesus loved me

May 1984, William Neal Moore, imprisoned for murder for sixteen years, under close surveillance at the Georgia State Penitentiary, must put him to death.

Just hours before his execution, to everyone's surprise, the court decreed a temporary reprieve. Even more amazing, the State of Georgia's Release and Pardon Committee unanimously decides to spare his life and release him.

Here is the explanation : shortly after his incarceration, Moore received a visit from two Christians, at the express request of his mother. They told him about the grace and hope offered by God in Jesus Christ. "No one told me that Jesus loved me and that he died for me. It was a love I could feel, a love I wanted. It was a love I needed," he said. Moore was able to testify afterwards. That day, he answered "yes" to Jesus' call, to the free gift of forgiveness and eternal life. His heart is open to the transforming power of the Spirit of God. From that moment he was another man. He was a witness of Christ to the prisoners. Several became Christians, the cells of the section were quieter. He has even been nicknamed "craftsmen of peace".

On November 8, 1991, Moore was released from prison.

God intervened powerfully by His forgiveness in Moore's life. The grace that revived Moore flows to all who accept God's forgiveness and turn from their sins to follow Jesus.
