No worries, God is here !
Searching the Scriptures
Who among you, by worrying, can add a moment to the length of your life ? Matthew 6:27
Worrying does not do us any good or change our situation. In addition, we waste time getting angry with things over which we have no control - things that only God can change.
The Bible says we cannot add another day to our existence by worrying. Yet we keep worrying and worrying again, which is getting us nowhere.
Getting angry takes a lot of energy from us, tires us out, damages our health, steals our joy and doesn't change our situation. So we have to stop trying to fix things that only God can fix.
The only person who takes pleasure in seeing us worrying is the devil who is like : "Haha ! I got it again !" Jesus tells us to "stop troubling ourselves" (John 14.27) and "be of good cheer" (John 16.33).
I believe putting these tips into practice is the equivalent of a chain of knocks that knocks the devil out. When you realize that you can't fix everything on your own, it calms you down and when you know God is in control, it encourages you and reassures you !
So do not worry. On the contrary, relax, take heart and send the devil for a walk !
Listen to the voice of God
Let's take the time to listen to what God means. Ask God if there are any areas of concern in your life that you have not yet abandoned to Him.
Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example prayer : "Lord, my worries are unnecessary, so I abandon them to You. On You I lean. Your power is fulfilled in my weakness."
Praise God
To praise God is to show him our gratitude. Today, what are your subjects of recognition ? Take a moment to thank the Lord.
Act today
Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.
Honor the Lord
Our route for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.
"Lord, I am so grateful that You have the solution for all that I have not mastered. You soothe me and you encourage me ! Yours be the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
