No, you are not invisible !

Friday February 25, 2022

No, you are not invisible !

You have found favor in my eyes and I know you by name. Exodus 33.17

We call “invisible workers” people who seem transparent, while they perform valuable labor among us. Especially cleaning ladies and garbage collectors.

In an interview (Last News from Alsace of June 2, 2020), journalist Florence Aubenas is surprised : Invisible, really ? How not to see and... hear them at work ?

But, notes the author, it is true, for many, in such a case, you are a broom, not a person !

If some of our readers carry such pain, I would like to open my eyes, really see you, and say thank you !

But above all, I have good news for everyone :

For God, you are not a broom, but you are precious in his eyes, whoever you are ! If you are a prominent CEO or executive, make no mistake, your performance does not impress God or increase His esteem for you.

So why are we so precious to him ? I don't really know, and I am amazed and amazed that God wanted to attach himself to sinful and rebellious beings like us !

I only know that God is love, it is his nature, and it is this love that gives us all our value. It was he who motivated him to create us, then, through the Cross, to deliver us from our vain way of living without him ! Yes, it is he who founds our true and precious value forever. Breathtaking, right ?

Proposed reading : 1st Letter of John, chapter 4, verses 7 to 14.

4.7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love comes from God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

4.8 He who does not love has not known God, for God is love.

4.9 This is how God's love has shown itself to us : God sent his only Son into the world that through him we may have life.

4.10 And this love consists not in the fact that we loved God, but in the fact that he loved us and sent his Son as an expiatory victim for our sins.

4.11 Beloved, since God has loved us so much, we too must love one another.

4.12 No one has ever seen God. If we love one another, God dwells in us and his love is perfected in us.

4.13 We recognize that we dwell in him and that he dwells in us because he has given us of his Spirit.

4.14 And we have seen and testify that the Father sent the Son as Savior of the world.
