Not a belief, but faith

Do you think there is only one God ? You are doing well : the demons also believe it, and they tremble. James 2. 19

Faith comes from what we hear and what we hear comes from the word of God. Romans 10:17

Not a belief, but faith

- I, you know, I respect your belief, but everyone has his own, and all are equal !

- Sir, answers another person, you speak to me as if I were without religion, but I have my belief, like indeed everyone in my family.

Belief is a convenient, elastic word, a word that compromises no one, but so vague that it is ambiguous and even dangerous.

There is only one word for receiving what God says, and that is the word "faith". The Bible uses it that way. It implies that the human creature recognizes itself fragile, ignorant and guilty before its almighty, just and holy Creator.

Faith recognizes the rights of God, listens to his Word ; she learns from him, not from a human tradition. She discovers that he is the supreme judge, but also the God of grace, the God of light, the God of love.

Faith is personal knowledge of a God who has revealed himself, who speaks, who also listens. The gospel, which he has preached today, presents Jesus Christ as the full revelation of Himself. He wanted to make himself known to men through the gift of his only and beloved Son. Jesus, who died to be the Savior of anyone who believes.

Accept it by faith !

"In fact, God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son so that whoever believes in him may not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
