Nothing can harm us

Search the Scriptures

He [God] delivered us from the power of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son of his love, in whom we have redemption, the remission of sins. Colossians 1.13-14

Through our faith in Jesus and his sacrificial death, God has delivered us from the power of darkness.

Power : in the original Greek, it designates authority. Satan has authority over the disobedient, unbelieving, and unsaved. However, through Jesus, God has delivered us from this power of darkness and brought us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption.

Redemption : we have been redeemed. We are no longer under the power of the curse, thanks to the redemptive death and shed blood of Jesus.

"He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God has come to destroy the works of the devil." (1 John 3.8)

Why did Jesus come ? To destroy the works of the devil, of which the curse is a part !

In Luke 10:19 it says : "Behold, I have given you power to walk over serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing can harm you."

Satan may have power, but Jesus gave us power above that of satan, so that "nothing can harm us."

Listen the voice of God

Let's take the time to listen to what God wants to say. How do you locate God in your life ? Is this God above all ?

Praying is simple. Speak to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer : “Thank you Lord, for your forgiveness. harm". I have been forgiven and set free from my sins. Amen."

Praise God

To praise God is to express our gratitude to him. Today, what are your subjects of recognition ? Take a time to thank the Lord.

Act today

Now, deepen what you have received. What can you put in place to apply what God has told you ? Write down concrete actions you can take.

Honor the Lord

Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"Thank you for your love and power Lord. You have freed me from condemnation and forgiven my sins. To you be the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
