Nothing is greater than God !

Search the Scriptures

We saw there the giants, children of Anak, of the race of the giants : we were in our eyes and in theirs like grasshoppers. Numbers 13.33

It is true that the ten spies, sent by Moses to explore the land of Canaan, had seen giants ready to reduce to dust all those who tried to settle there. However, when faced with the sons of Anak, they made the monumental mistake of viewing them as greater than God ! Fear having invaded their hearts, they put God aside and urged the people to retreat.

“We cannot go up against this people, because they are stronger than us” (Numbers 13.31).

Have you ever been paralyzed by fear ?

When you undertake something for God, the devil will always use schemes to defeat your mission. Nevertheless, whatever the nature of this obstacle, a question must impose itself on you : "is this situation greater than my God ?"

Your answer should, of course, always give the advantage to God, to whom "nothing is impossible" (Luke 1:37); it will thus banish fear from your heart and allow you to continue to follow, full of confidence, the great "I am" !

"Do not be afraid, for I am with you ; do not look around anxiously, for I am your God; I strengthen you, I come to your aid, I support you with my triumphant right." (Isaiah 41.10)

Listen the voice of God

Are there giants in your life who paralyze you with fear, who leave your legs cut off ? Listen to God telling you over and over again that he is greater than each of these giants. Let yourself be strengthened by his holy presence.

Prayer is simply talking to God, as you would with a friend. He is there for you. Here is a sample prayer you can follow : “Lord, in the face of all the giants in my life who intimidate me and hold me back, I want to declare the power of your name, my God, for no giant will be never greater than you ! I want to put all my trust in you. In your mighty name, amen !"

Praise God

God is great, nothing and no one can ever surpass his greatness, hallelujah! Acclaim the great "I am" and praise it for who it is. Show Him your praise in any way you can !

Act today

Decide today to put down all the giants in your life. With the help of the living God, to whom nothing is impossible, rise above and declare with power that they do not impress you and that they will no longer dominate your life.

Honor the Lord

Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"The God I serve is the great 'I am'. Thank you God, for with you in my life I fear nothing. Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory, amen !"
