Obstacles on the path of faith

The crowd called them back to silence them, but they shouted louder : Have mercy on us, Lord, Son of David ! Matthew 20:31

I still remember the oppositions encountered on my way to Jesus. My own mother, who loved me so much, opposed my spiritual search. She was afraid that this research would lead me to a cult or that my sanity would be affected. Quite the opposite happened. My mental health recovered after years of depression. Then I found brothers and sisters in an evangelical Protestant church who trusted me and helped me socialize. Thank God I continued to seek Jesus' help, and he heard my voice.

Do not be discouraged if someone tries to silence us when we cry out to Jesus. Let us not give in to the pressure of numbers. Let us not give anyone the right to prevent us from crying out to Jesus. The two blind men of the gospel were healed and could follow Jesus by seeing the path he marked out before them. The few people who worried about me changed their minds when they saw that Jesus had transformed my life for the better. My mother thanked God and fell asleep in peace and faith a few years ago. In the face of disputes, let us cry even more : Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me !
