One trust total in the Father

A crucial connection is missing in many of our lives, and this is often why we do not receive an answer to our prayers. Beloved, the missing link is faith. "But without faith it is impossible to please him ; for he who comes to God must believe that God exists, and that he is the rewarder of those who seek him" (Hebrews 11: 6).

James is very clear in his instructions : "But let him ask in faith, without doubting ; for he who doubts is like the wave of the sea, stirred by the wind and pushed aside. May such a man not imagine that he will receive anything from the Lord" (James 1: 6-7).

If a person doubts, no matter how much tears they shed, they will not receive anything from God. Of course, God wants us to cry to Him from the depths of our being. But He hears our cries only if they are accompanied by faith !

The psalms are full of testimonies of David who went to God not only with tears, but with a heart filled with trust in His Father. "Blessed be the Lord! For he hears the voice of my supplications. Jehovah is my strength and my shield ; In him my heart confides, and I am helped "(Psalm 28: 6-7).

"[The Lord] is our help and our shield. For our heart gives him joy, for we trust in his holy name" (Psalms 33: 20-21).

Every time, or almost, we read that David's cries in prayer were accompanied by a testimony of trust. You can spend hours praying, crying and pleading with God to give you what He has already promised. We can not conceive of the possibility that God may be unhappy with our prayers. Yet the Word is clear: we must ask in faith, without doubting.

Beloved, take this wonderful truth and allow God to take you to a new dimension of prayer.
