Opt for the good insurance

"I am assured that neither death nor life, nor angels nor dominions, neither the present nor the future, nor the powers, nor the height, nor the depth, nor any other creature can separate us Of the love of God manifested in Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 8: 38-39

Modern man has never been more assured than in the twenty-first century. Insured on life, insured social, insured old age, insured against fire, domestic accidents or theft ... We are sometimes holders of so many contracts that we can be covered several times for the same.

As life belongs to no one, it can stop at any moment ...

But curiously, the only assurance which many contemporaries lack is that which concerns eternity. How many people, so organized and far-sighted, set out from one day to the next without having taken the time to ask themselves the question of their eternal destiny ?

Not only among atheists. Many who claim to believe in God or something do not seek to know more. However, since life belongs to no one, it can stop at any time.

At the same time, it seems almost incongruous or dangerous, at a time of "everyone his truth", to have certainties.

Only then, materialism can in no way fulfill our spiritual need, unchanged for millennia. It is not surprising that in the relativism and skepticism surrounding, so many men and women suffer from depression, addictions and sometimes opt for suicide.

Do not they lack the true assurance, the one that God gives to the one and the one who decides to seize his outstretched hand ?

Jesus Christ gave his life for us. He offered us the assurance of his salvation, the certainty that in his hand we will always be held, until we pass into eternity.

Then, when this reality is revealed in us, we can, with Paul, proclaim this glorious declaration of faith : "I have the assurance that neither death nor life, nor angels nor dominions, nor present, nor The future, nor the powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature can separate us from the love of God manifested in Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 8: 38-39).

A decision for today

Lord Jesus, I no longer want to live in uncertainty. Come and reveal your love to my heart. I beg your pardon for my sin, my indifference. Place in me this marvelous assurance of your salvation.
