Our faith makes us contagious

Searching the Scriptures

It was by faith that Noah, warned of events that had not yet been seen and filled with reverent awe, built an ark to save his family. Hebrews 11.7

Do you have any concerns ? Are you going through a difficult ordeal ? Is life hard ? Do you see the dark and blocked future ? Then the story of Noah might help you.

Noah lived in times even more difficult than ours. No church around him. He was the only believer. No ministries or gatherings. No Bible, no spiritual books. Jesus had not yet come to proclaim grace, and the Holy Spirit was not widely shed.

Noah was surrounded by wicked, idolatrous, mocking, unbelieving people who refused to change their way of doing things. They could have escaped the Flood but didn't want to hear anything.

In addition, Noah knew that the end of this world was coming. He had to act if he didn't want to disappear, him and his family. Yet he was not discouraged. Genesis does not tell us if he had moments of doubt, bouts of fatigue. He must have had some! He was all alone in the midst of a hostile crowd, building a boat in a place where there was no water! But all God remembered was how Noah acted.

Let's look at how Noah behaved :

He believed : he trusted in God.

As he believed, God revealed his plan to him, his Word.

When he listened to the Word of God, he took it seriously.

After taking the Word seriously, he obeyed and took action: he built a boat that saved him and his whole family.

This story also contains the promise of blessing and salvation for all around us. Noah's family represents those who are dear to us. I deeply believe that if we cry for those we love, we are building a spiritual ark through our love, our faith, our prayers, our intercession.

In short, your faith leads to the salvation of those around you. You are becoming very contagious ! Do you think of a specific person ? Today, ask the Lord to make you contagious with those who are dear to you.

Listen to the voice of God

Let's take the time to listen to what God means. If you are going through a difficult time, let God speak to you now and strengthen your faith.

Praying is simple. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and He can hear everything. Here is an example prayer : "Lord, the context in which I find myself now is difficult. Open my eyes so that I see the situation as you do, open my ears so that I hear what you say about this situation and that I react like Noah, who was not taken down by what he saw and who built this ark to save his family. "

Praise God

To praise God is to show Him our gratitude. Today, what are your subjects of recognition ? Take a moment to thank the Lord for this.

Act today

Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.

Honor the Lord

Our route for the day comes to an end. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"Lord, I choose not to look at difficult circumstances and I believe in your Word in order to build this ark of love and salvation so that those whom you have entrusted to me can enter it with me. the reign, the power and the glory forever. So be it !"
