Peace and joy

You bring more joy to my heart than they experience when their corn, their wine and their oil are abundant. I go to bed and immediately fall asleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, give me security in my dwelling place. Psalm 4.8-9

A survey of insurance companies found that certain types of motorists have fewer accidents than others. Indeed, those who take the wheel without nervousness or concerns have a more serene and therefore safer driving.

The believer speaking in the above psalm could be one of those peaceful "conductors." He deposited his worries with his Lord in prayer, which allows him to live stress-free and anger-free... Instead of negative emotions, he feels peace and joy in his heart. Where did it come from ?

From this text I see that the source of all peace and joy is in God. He is the one who puts constructive emotions in my heart, when I let go of my bad attitude and lay all my burdens before him. I trust him for everything. So instead of complaining about the conduct of others, I will live in safety in the peace and joy that God gives me even in the midst of hardship.
