Perfect peace

On January 3, 2017, although I had always been in good health, after the traditional wishes of good health, I had a violent reaction of the immune system to a viral infection, “Guillain-Barré” syndrome.

All muscle controls were cut off. Within 24 hours, I found myself totally paralyzed, then put in an induced coma on a ventilator for three and a half months, semi-conscious. And, finally, eighteen months of rehabilitation in hospital.

During all this time, God's kindness gave me deep peace, a total absence of anxiety. Of course, the physical suffering did not disappear, but the peace of Christ carried me and still carries me today. After three months of bed rest in the same position, without bedsores, the doctors spoke of a miracle. I see the hand of God there, both in the evolution of my illness and in the intervention of competent people at the right time.

How fragile our life is... for other people, it goes through moments of anguish, doubt and despair.

At the start of the year, let's reflect. This calendar is here to allow you to choose life by trusting in Jesus Christ who saves us and cares for us. And give you his peace.
