Plan for suffering

Here is a certain word, worthy of being accepted without reserve. It is in this perspective, in fact, that we work and that we allow ourselves to be insulted, because we have put our hope in the living God who is the Savior of all men, and in particular of believers. 1 Timothy 4:9,10

Our life begins with suffering. The lifespan is marked by pain and tragedy, and our lives end with the enemy called death. The person hoping to escape suffering and disappointment simply has no knowledge of the Bible, of history or of life. The master musician knows that suffering precedes glory and acclamation. He knows the hours, days and months of grueling practice and self-sacrifice that precede an hour of perfect restitution when his mastery is applauded. The student knows that years of study, deprivation and self-denial precede the triumphant day of graduation and honors. Yes, there are clouds of suffering for each of us, but God says : "I come to you in the thick dark cloud of suffering." By faith, you can see his blessed face in the storm. God has his plan and his goal in all suffering.

Prayer for the day

Heavenly Father, help me remember that none of my suffering is in vain. Thanks to this, teach me more about your love and comfort.
