Someone explained : "Even if the letter I am sending contains an important message, I would be ridiculous if I waited in front of the station to make sure she leaves the office well, or if I give advice to employees for they convey to my taste ! "And he added :" We often act the same way with God. "
When we are in a difficult circumstance or before a tricky decision to make, we resort to prayer. Expose ourselves to God our problems without proposing humane solutions without giving him advice on how he should act to help us out. Because we can fully rely on him.
Now we can fully rely on God's love. Surely God waits, as vis-à-vis children of their father, we hand him to do anything that may disturb us, we were talking about him freely, showing him a confidence that honors him. This proof of confidence, we show it to him then abandoning ourselves to him, relying on his promise to live a victorious Christian life : "He cares for you." Note this well : when we reject our attention on the Lord, he shall be supported. Not only rid us, but it sustains us in our difficulties (see Ps. 22 55. taken in the verse of the day).
We can also count on his wisdom: he alone knows what is best for us as the solution that we would propose him we may lead to the worst difficulties.
Finally, it is all-powerful. It can therefore implement ways we do not believe, tilt the attitudes and decisions of the major characters, as do all things work for our good (Rom. 8. 28).
David had experienced God's faithfulness through difficult and lengthy trials ; so it is well placed to advise me : "Commit thy way Jehovah and your trust in him, and he, he will quiet ... House, leaning on the Lord and wait patiently for him" (Ps 37. . 5-7).
Understand better the perfect love, the wonderful wisdom and infinite power of the great God who in Jesus Christ has made us his children for eternity.
