Praise without cease

"My soul praise the Lord. I will praise the Lord for all my life ; I will sing hymns to my God as long as I live." Psalm 146 1, 2

There is a special moment when praise is offered to God by a group of ransomed together, it is Sunday. They are then gathered under the gaze of the Father, they surround the Son who promised his presence in the midst of the "two or three" ; Together they bring to God the adoration of their heart for his greatness and for the work that draws them away from eternal perdition ; The celebration of the Last Supper is the most intense moment. But God does not wish to be praised only on Sundays by gathered believers; he desires to be praised every day, every moment ; It can be praised by grouped believers, but also by each individually.

It is impossible to praise God too much! He is at the center of praise! "And you are holy, you who dwell in the midst of the praises of Israel" (Psalm 22: 3), David wrote. Our praise is therefore daily. It can be a spontaneous manifestation of gratitude towards a deliverance or a blessing that is granted to us ; But do not book our praise for responses to our requests. Let us praise him for all the things of life, for nothing is due to us, all is grace on his part. "All that is given to us of good and every perfect gift descends from above, from the Father of lights, in whom there is no variation or shadow of change" (Jacob 1: 16,17) .

When difficulties arise, do we always praise God ? We should ! It is God who allows them to make us feel his love and his power if we cross them with him. Certainly it is more difficult and less natural to praise in such moments ; Let us ask God to help us do it ... and he will !

We have every reason to praise God : "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall be continually in my mouth "(Psalm 34: 1). This good habit will help us live in the intimacy of his divine presence. Above all, let us praise him for having torn us from the hands of our worst enemy and bring us to his presence. So ... "let us offer by [Christ] unceasingly to God a sacrifice of praise" (Heb 13:15).
