Pray for intelligence

"Give your servant an attentive heart ... to discern good from evil." 1 Kings 3.9

Have you ever wondered why God made Solomon the richest man of his time ?

Intelligence is the ability to see with the eyes of God, to hear through his ears ... Here is the answer : "God said to him : Because [...] you do not ask for a long life for you, Thou shalt not ask for riches for thee, but since thou hast asked of thee understanding, that thou mayest be attentive to the law, behold, I will do according to thy word. I will give you a wise and intelligent heart, so that there will not have been before you and no one like you will arise after you. I will also give you what you have not asked for, both wealth and glory, so that there will be no man among your kings like you in all your life. " V.11-13).

Before asking God for material success, ask for wisdom and intelligence. When you possess these two qualities, God can entrust you with wealth because he knows that you will use it to do His will and glorify Him.

What is intelligence ? It is the sum total of knowledge and wisdom ! It is the ability to interpret life as God does, to have his look at people and events. In other words, intelligence is the ability to see with the eyes of God, to hear through his ears, to think with his mind, and to feel with his heart.

A thought for today

A couple problem ? A generation conflict ? A professional concern ? Everything resolves with intelligence ! "With all your gain, acquire intelligence. Exalt her : she shall exalt thee ; It will make your glory "Proverbs 4.7-8. Here is your word of the day : pray for intelligence.
