Pray together

I tell you again that if two of you agree on earth to ask for anything, it will be granted to them by my Heavenly Father. Matthew 18. 19

Pray together

"All persevered with one accord in prayer with the women with Mary the mother of Jesus and with the brothers of Jesus" (Acts 1.14). Here are some thoughts on prayer in common :

- Pray with the same heart : When we address ourselves together to our Father, it is necessary that the Holy Spirit helps us to seek the will of God so that we are united in prayer.

- Pray in a concrete way : Each one must be able to understand the goal, the necessity, the urgency of the request which is presented with one heart to God.

- Pray with faith : The apostle James says to the one who prays : "Let him ask with faith, without doubting" (James 1. 6). Full confidence in the goodness of God and in his wisdom enables us to pray in complete freedom : God will answer.

- Pray with perseverance : A gospel account encourages disciples to persevere in prayer. A widow always returned with the same request to a judge, however unfair. He ended up listening to it (Luke 18.1-6). We will never tire of our Heavenly Father.

- Pray briefly : Everyone must express themselves simply. "While praying, do not multiply your words" (Matthew 6. 7). Do not think that we are answered by talking a lot.

- Pray with gratitude : Let us thank God when we explain our requests to him (Philippians 4: 6). Our Heavenly Father gives us so much !
