Prayer in an emergency

Searching the Scriptures

But God answered me, he listened to my prayer. Psalm 66.19

After giving birth to our lovely baby girl, my wife suffered a brain hemorrhage. Her life-threatening prognosis being committed, the doctors decided to take her to the operating room. The anesthesiologist then said to me : "I don't know if she will live !"

It is clear that, even though in the eyes of the doctors I could do nothing, it was impossible for me to resign myself to this situation and not ask God to act ! So I called on the Lord ! I begged him to surrender my wife. It didn't take long for him to do so since, three weeks later, she returned home without any damage.

Prayer is one of the greatest privileges of a Christian. She knows no bounds.

What is your problem ? Is there an emergency ? Pray ! The infinite power of God is at your fingertips. He did not changed ! His ear is still keen to hear your voice, and his hand is not too short to answer your prayers.

Listen to the voice of God

Let’s take the time to listen to what God means. He hears the cry of your heart and nothing is impossible for him.

Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer : "My God, I declare to heaven and earth that you are my father and that the enemy must tremble under my feet. No problem is insurmountable to you."

Praise God

To praise God is to show him our gratitude. What are your subjects of recognition today? Take a moment to thank the Lord.

Act today

Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.

Honor the Lord

Our route for the day comes to an end. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"Lord, what a privilege to have by my side such a mighty and gracious God. Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, amen !"
