Press on the accelerator of the repentance

The law is a real accelerator of impact in evangelization. It is an accelerator of repentance.

Sin is the transgression of the law and sin is known only by the law. The purpose of the law is to put our finger on our sins while the role of the Holy Spirit is to convince us.

You will have noticed that some criminals remain impassive, even arrogant when they are in front of a judge. They know that what they did is wrong, but they have no regrets. However, their confrontation with the law is the only way to put them in front of their conscience.

God having written his laws in the hearts of all men, the preaching of the moral law is the best way to put man in the face of his conscience. Like a mirror, it places us not only in the face of the holy nature of God, but also in the face of our corrupted moral nature.

Man facing his conscience, the Holy Spirit can then convince him of sin, righteousness and judgment. He can finally freely perform his ministry. To not put the sinner's conscience in the face of his sin is to hinder the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4) and we truly know our sin only by the law (Romans 7:7).

And the sinful man constantly transgresses the 10 commandments : He steals (8th), he lies (9th), he blasphemes against the name of God (3rd), he covets the goods of others (10th), he does not respect his parents (5th), he commits adultery (7th), he commits crimes (6th), and God does not occupy the first place in his life (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th).
