Prophecy
Behold, he is coming with the clouds. And every eye will see him, even those who pierced him ; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of him. Revelation 1.7
In 1958, I had the opportunity with a friend to visit the Universal Exhibition in Brussels. Among all the pavilions, each more avant-garde than the next, a crowd crowded into a stand to watch what was a great first : color television presented to the public in closed circuit. Could we imagine at the time all the developments that television was going to experience and know that this technique was going to be involved in many areas of our everyday life ?
In the past, this prophecy from the first chapter of the book of Revelation must have made many incredulous people smile. At his second coming to earth, how will everyone be able to see Jesus return on the clouds ? Does the Bible allow itself to assert such nonsense ? Is it to scare all those who crucified him by approving the sentence of the authorities of the time ?
Nowadays, is this statement still nonsense in your eyes ? Many discoveries have confirmed and still confirm the statements of the Word of God. I am confident that in years to come we will understand, as technology advances, the truthfulness of other Bible claims that is free from error.
