Pure in heart

He is the one who is righteous and righteous, who rejects a profit obtained by extortion, who shakes hands to refuse a bribe, who shuts his ear to not hear of murder, and who stretches his eyes so as not to see the evil : he will have for his residence high places, and craggy rocks will serve him as a fortress ; bread will be provided, water will be provided. Isaiah 33:15,16

To be pure in his conduct also implies honesty and integrity in his dealings with his fellow men. A Christian must be known in his neighborhood or place of work as an honest person, a person to be trusted. Jesus said : "Happy pure hearts." Do you want to be happy ? Very well, apply this Bliss to your heart. Take it for yourself.

Pure hearts are the only ones who can know what it means to be supremely happy. Their hearts are pure to God and, therefore, pure to their fellow men. They are happy because, possessing Him who is All and in all, they envy the goods of no world. They are happy because they do not envy the praises of another man. Because they are not the enemy of any man, they do not consider him their enemy. The result is peace with God and the world.

Prayer for the day

Forgive me, Lord Jesus, my heart is far from pure. I confess all my deepest thoughts.
