Ready for it ?

Luke 15.4 Who among you, if he has a hundred sheep and loses one, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness to seek her who is lost until ? that he found her ?

I would like us servants of God to learn from the Lord's way ! And to illustrate the approach of the Lord Jesus, we could reflect on the history of the Gerasene. Jesus was surrounded by a crowd who listened intently to his preaching.

Yet He commands his disciples to cross over to the other side of the lake. He himself is very tired as he will sleep soundly during this crossing as a storm is raging. Arrived on the other side, He will free a man from his demons, a great miracle and yet the inhabitants will beg him to go away. We can say with certainty that He touched only one person on this trip. When He crosses the lake again, He will find a crowd eagerly awaiting Him.

This story is the best example of the Good Shepherd who goes to look for a single lost sheep in the night. My beloveds, can we take this thought so far as to examine our own behavior ? Who among us would leave a large crowd, drinking our words, to fetch one person ? If we had two ministry invitations falling at the same time, one 1,000 people in a large hall and the other 5 people in a house, who would choose the house ? Or at least who would seek the face of the Lord to know where he should go ? Can we honestly answer this question ?

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, the importance is not the number, but the divine appointment ! Despite a super busy schedule, the Lord knew how to take the time for the individual. I would like to honor pastors who give their all for a very small community. Having attended pastoral care I know that the question that often arises is : "How many members do you have in your community ?". Frustration for those who announce a number below 3 digits. My brothers, you will be rewarded for your loyalty, not for numbers. One to rescue is worth the effort to cover many kilometers despite fatigue and to devote oneself entirely to this task.
